The Author Village is excited to announce that nine fantastic new authors are joining our ranks! They’re a dynamic, diverse group of creators who each excel at interacting with children and readers of all ages.

Samira Ahmed is the New York Times-bestselling author of the unforgettable young adult novel Love, Hate & Other Filters and the forthcoming novels Internment and Mad, Bad & Dangerous to Know.

Samantha Berger is the author of numerous highly acclaimed and award-winning picture books including the E.B. White Read-Aloud Finalist Crankenstein. Her latest picture books include What If…, Snail Mail, and Rock What Ya Got.

Erin Entrada Kelly is the author of 2018 Newbery Medal-winning novel Hello, Universe. Her latest novel is the highly acclaimed middle grade novel You Go First.

Raul the Third (aka Raul Gonzalez) is the Pura Belpre Medal award-winning illustrator of the dynamic graphic novel Lowriders to the Center of the Earth, as well as the other graphic novels in the series, Lowriders in Space and Lowriders Blast from the Past.

Molly Idle is the author and illustrator of the Caldecott Honor-winning picture book Flora and the Flamingo and all of the Flora books. She’s also the creator of the Rex series. Her newest picture book is the dazzling mermaid tale Pearl.

Ellen Oh is the author of the Texas Bluebonnet Award-nominated middle grade novel Spirit Hunters and the highly-acclaimed, young adult Prophecy trilogy. She is also the co-founder of We Need Diverse Books, the grassroots non-profit organization.

Adam Silvera is the groundbreaking New York Times-bestselling author of the young adult novels They Both Die at the End, More Happy Than Not, and History Is All You Left Me, and, along with Becky Albertalli, the co-author of What If It’s Us.

Audrey Vernick is the author of numerous, highly-acclaimed and award-winning picture books including Brothers at Bat and The Funniest Man in Baseball: The True Story of Max Patkin. Along with Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich, she is the co-author of the middle grade novels Two Naomis and Naomis Too.

In addition, Cristin Terrill –author of the award-winning young adult novels All Our Yesterdays and Here Lies Daniel Tate and a highly sought-after creative writing instructor for children and adults – is joining our team as The Author Village’s new business manager. With her help, we hope to create even more opportunities to connect our artists with readers.
